Angels of Change
Mission
Angels of Change is a fundraiser of the CHAMPION FUND to support transgender services housed within The Division of Adolescent Medicine; which has provided healthcare and supportive services specifically designed for trans and gender- nonconforming youth since 1996.

Objectives
Empower trans youth to demonstrate leadership in their respective communities by being “Angels of Change”
Highlight the work of trans and gender nonconforming youth who create positive change within their community
Honor individuals, corporations and organizations that provide support to trans youth.

 

The Trevor Project
Founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award®-winning short film TREVOR, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24.

 

GLBT Host Home Project of Avenues for Homeless Youth
“Building community one host home at a time”
The GLBT Host Home Program provides transitional living arrangements for 10 homeless gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth and young adults ages 16 to 21 in safe, supportive, volunteer host homes. Founded in 1998, this community-based program is coordinated by Avenues, but supported by a vast array of individuals and other youth-serving agencies. The host homes receive training and ongoing support from Avenues, while the youth receive case management by the referring agencies.

 

The Family Partnership: Abuse Intervention Program (Minneapolis)
The Family Partnership’s GLBT-Kids: Abuse Intervention Program offers support, referrals, resources, and training about and for LGBTQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Allied) youth - who are or have experienced abuse or mistreatment - and for their families, caregivers, and professionals.

-Prevention and intervention: Physical, Emotional and Sexual Abuse of Youth
